The Seismic Modeling and Inversion (SMI) research group is part of the Physical Science and Engineering Division within the Earth Science and Engineering Program at KAUST. Our group is also affiliated with the Extreme Computing Research Center.
We focus on developing and advancing algorithms related to seismic wave propagation and tomography. The range of applications covers multiple scales, from local-scale exploration to regional- and global-scale seismic inversions.
If you are interested in our research and/or want to join our group, please feel free to contact us. Openings for Ph.D. and postdoc positions might just become available and we are always open for future collaborations.
